Payment confirmation, invoice reminders, and subscription renewal SMS.

What it does

Stripe webhooks trigger Flare SMS for billing-related milestones — payment succeeded, invoice issued, invoice past-due, subscription renewing, subscription cancelled. Easy way to give your customers proactive payment notifications without building an email-only flow.

How it integrates

Stripe webhook endpoint configured on the SIPSTACK side; verified by HMAC.
Events: payment_intent.succeeded, invoice.created, invoice.payment_failed, customer.subscription.renewed.
Flare REST API sends with template variables from the Stripe event payload.
Contact match by Stripe Customer phone field; falls back to email-to-phone lookup in Flare.

Use case 1

Payment succeeds on a recurring invoice → SMS receipt with invoice URL.

Use case 2

Card expires → SMS prompt with the Stripe customer portal update link.

Use case 3

Subscription renewing in 7 days → SMS heads-up.

Use case 4

Invoice past-due → escalating SMS reminders on day 3, 7, 14.

Setup

In Stripe Dashboard → Webhooks, add the SIPSTACK Flare webhook endpoint.
In Switchboard → Integrations → Stripe, paste your Stripe webhook signing secret.
Pick which Stripe events should fire an SMS.
Configure SMS templates in Switchboard → Flare → Templates.
