Export Messages
Section titled “Export Messages”You can download the texts in your Flare inbox as a CSV file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Export is included on every Flare plan.
Downloading an Export
Section titled “Downloading an Export”- Go to Flare SMS → Conversations.
- Click Export at the top of the page.
- Choose your filters. All of them are optional:
- From date and To date: whole days in your own time zone. Leave both blank to export everything.
- Direction: All, Inbound (texts you received) or Outbound (texts you sent).
- Number: one of your business numbers, or All numbers. This only shows up if your organization has more than one Flare number.
- Click Download CSV. The file is saved as
messages-export-YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
If you export many times in a row, SIPSTACK asks you to wait a few minutes before the next one.
What’s in the File
Section titled “What’s in the File”Each row is one message.

status | Delivery status, such as delivered or failed |
contact_name | The contact’s name |
contact_tags | The contact’s tags |
A few things to know:
- You get the numbers your inbox shows you. The export includes the same numbers you can see in Conversations, nothing more.
- Contact columns need contact access.
contact_nameandcontact_tagsare blank unless your role can view contacts. - Media links expire. Download any images you want to keep soon after exporting.
