Partner Settings

The Settings page in the partner portal is where you maintain everything that represents your partner identity inside SIPSTACK — what appears on the public partner directory, how customers reach you, and the tax details needed for commission payouts.

The page opens with a read-only Partner Identity card (your partner code) and then splits the page across tabs — Profile, Contact, Services, Coverage, Tax, Payouts, Directory, and Notifications. Each editable tab saves independently, so you can edit one section without touching the others.

How you appear to customers and prospects.

  • Logo. PNG, JPEG, SVG, or WebP up to 2MB, shown on your directory listing and in the Mode B co-brand lockup.
  • Display name. Your business name as it appears in the public directory and in invitation emails. Customer-facing — make it match how you sell.
  • Tagline. A one-line elevator pitch shown beneath your name on the directory.
  • About. A longer bio shown on your directory detail page.
  • Default invitation message. Pre-filled into the personal note when you send a customer invitation.

The contact details shown on your directory listing and used by managed customers to reach you:

  • Contact email
  • Contact phone
  • Website (outbound link from the directory listing)

Drives how prospects find you in directory search filters.

  • Services offered. Tags describing what you provide (e.g. PBX setup, SMS campaigns, AI integration). At least one is required before you can list on the directory.
  • Specializations. Industry verticals you focus on (e.g. Healthcare, Legal, Hospitality).

Geographic service areas — circles centered on a geocoded location:

  1. Click Add area and enter a city, state/province, and country (plus an optional label).
  2. The location is geocoded to a lat/long on save.
  3. Set the radius (km) to match your actual service area.
  4. Add as many areas as you operate in.

Prospects searching the directory are matched against these circles. At least one coverage area is required before you can list publicly.

The Tax tab is required for commission payouts and informs the RCTI (recipient-created tax invoice) generation that runs for each statement period. A warning dot appears on the tab while your tax identity is incomplete — the most expensive thing to miss, since commissions cannot be grossed up correctly without it.

  • Jurisdiction. The country (and province/state where applicable) you are registered in.
  • Registration status.
    • Not registered (small supplier, under the $30k CRA threshold) — commissions are paid pre-tax, no RCTI gross-up.
    • Registered for GST/HST — SIPSTACK adds HST on top of your commission and issues an RCTI each period.
    • Registered for GST + QST (Quebec only).
  • Business number. Your CRA Business Number (e.g. 123456789RT0001). Format-validated, but not verified against the registry — typos cause RCTI rejection.

The Tax tab also carries a Download tax summary (PDF) link — a one-page plain-language summary of how commission tax works. See How Commission Tax Works for the full walkthrough.

Tax fields can be updated at any time; updates apply prospectively to new statements. Prior statements are not retroactively reissued.

A read-only view of the Stripe Connect account SIPSTACK pays your commission into, with the one action that moves it forward. Bank details and payout schedule are managed on Stripe, never on this tab. Annual tax documents are issued by SIPSTACK, not Stripe — see Statements.

StatusWhat the tab offers
Not startedSet up payouts — opens Payout Setup.
Setup in progressContinue setup — opens Payout Setup, which resumes Stripe’s flow where you left off.
Under reviewNothing to do — Stripe is reviewing, and the status updates on its own.
ActiveManage in Stripe — opens your Stripe Express Dashboard.
Action requiredResolve in Stripe — the dashboard shows which requirement is due.
DeactivatedNothing on Stripe — email partners@sipstack.com.

The Stripe buttons mint a single-use sign-in link on every click, so click again next time rather than bookmarking the page they open.

Affiliates are not paid through Stripe Connect. Instead, the tab lets an affiliate choose how commissions are paid: account credit (added to your SIPSTACK account balance and applied to your invoices) or gift card (sent to the email address you enter). Payouts run monthly once your balance reaches $100; smaller balances roll over.

A single listing toggle:

  • Listed publicly. When ON, your profile appears on the public find-a-partner page. When OFF, the profile still exists and your referral link still works, but you are not surfaced to inbound directory search.

The toggle only enables once your profile is ready: logo, bio, at least one service, at least one coverage area, contact details, and Silver tier or above. An already-listed profile can always toggle OFF regardless of readiness.
