Your Call History

My Workspace → Call history is your personal call log: the calls you placed and answered on your own extension, newest first. It is self-service — you do not need an administrator to look at it, and nothing you see here belongs to a colleague.

The org-wide record of every call the phone system handled is a different page, Call History (CDRs), and it needs the View call history permission (nova.cdr.view_all). This page needs only self.calls.history.view, and the sidebar leaf appears once your user account is paired with an enabled Nova extension.

The page lists the most recent 50 calls, newest first.

ColumnWhat it shows
TimeWhen the call happened, in your browser’s local time.
DirectionInbound (someone called you), Outbound (you called out), or Internal (one extension to another inside your organization).
Other partyThe number or extension at the far end — the caller on an inbound call, the number you dialed on an outbound one. Internal calls show the short extension rather than a full telephone number.
DurationTalk time: the connected portion of the call, so the ringing before it is not counted. A dash means there was no talk time at all.
AIAura’s analysis of the call — a sentiment badge (Positive / Neutral / Negative) once processing finishes, a “Transcribed” marker when transcription completed without sentiment, or a dash when the call was not analyzed. Every row shows a dash if Aura is not enabled for your organization.
StatusAnswered (green) — the call connected. Missed (red) — an inbound call nobody picked up.

A row is marked Missed when the call was inbound, it rang your phone, and nobody picked up before the ringing ended. Because there was no talk time, its Duration shows a dash rather than a number.

Missed calls still get a row — that is the point of them being here. You can see exactly who tried to reach you and when. If the caller chose to leave a message, it is waiting on Voicemail.

Select any row and the full detail of that call slides in from the right.

  • Parties — both ends of the call written out in full, rather than shortened to fit a column.
  • Call — the direction, the exact minute it started, and the total length. Fields the switch did not record for the call show a dash.
  • Recording — plays inline when a recording was captured and your role has the Listen to recordings permission (nova.recordings.listen). Otherwise the section reads “No recording available for this call”, which covers both “there is no recording” and “you are not permitted to play it”.
  • Transcript and Insights tabs — where the written transcript, the summary, the sentiment and the topics appear once Aura has processed a recorded call. With no recording there is nothing to transcribe, and both tabs say so.

A call I just made isn’t showing up. Give it about thirty seconds and use the reload button in the page header. Calls take a short time to reach the call history after they end.

Duration shows a dash but the status says Answered. A quick hangup within a second or so of pickup leaves effectively no talk time. Carriers record these inconsistently.

The other party shows anonymous or private. The caller withheld their caller ID. Switchboard records what the carrier sent, and there is no way to look a withheld caller up from this page.

Why is a call missing entirely? Usually one of three things: it is older than the most recent 50 rows shown here, it reached your organization but never rang your extension (a queue call answered by somebody else, for example), or you had no extension paired at the time of the call.

Can I sort, filter, or export? Not on this page — it is a plain reverse-chronological list of your last 50 calls. Org-wide search, filtering and CSV export live on Call History (CDRs), which your administrator can run for you.
