Setting Up Time Conditions (Schedules)

← How-To Guides

Time schedules let Nova PBX automatically route calls differently based on the time of day and day of week — for example, sending calls to your auto attendant during business hours and to voicemail after hours.

Before creating a schedule, determine:

  • Business hours — e.g., Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Holiday closures — specific dates where the office is closed
  • Time zone — ensure your PBX timezone is set correctly (check with your administrator)
  1. Log in to the Nova PBX portal.
  2. Navigate to PBX Features → Time Range Groups.
  3. Click Add (the green + button in the top-right action bar).
  4. Fill in:
FieldDescription

Once created, assign schedules in Routes and Permissions → Inbound Routes. The inbound route uses the schedule to determine which destination receives the call.

See Setting up Inbound Routes for full routing configuration.
