Completing a Call Transfer on a Polycom VVX Phone During an Incoming Call Interruption

Section titled “Completing a Call Transfer on a Polycom VVX Phone During an Incoming Call Interruption”

When a new call arrives while you are in the middle of transferring an existing call, the incoming call screen overlays your active call controls. Follow these steps to dismiss the interruption and complete the transfer.

  1. You have an active call in progress.

  2. A new incoming call arrives — the call pop screen appears, replacing the transfer soft keys.

  3. Press * or # on the keypad to dismiss the incoming call pop screen and return to your active call controls.

  4. Press the Transfer soft key to:

    • Complete an attended transfer (if you were already talking to the destination extension), or
    • Initiate a blind transfer to the destination.
  5. Answer the new incoming call after the transfer is complete.

During an active call, your screen shows the call details and transfer controls.

When the new call arrives, the incoming call screen replaces the transfer soft keys with answer options. Pressing * or # mutes/dismisses the incoming call overlay and returns you to the transfer controls so you can complete the original transfer.
