What Happens When I Send MMS to an Unsupported Carrier?
Section titled “What Happens When I Send MMS to an Unsupported Carrier?”When you send an MMS message to a carrier that does not support MMS, SIPSTACK automatically converts the message to an SMS. The media file is hosted and a shortened URL is appended to the body of the SMS, linking the recipient to your media.
The message is charged at the SMS rate rather than the MMS rate.
