Section titled “Does This Apply to Me?”A2P 10DLC registration is required for businesses sending Application-to-Person (A2P) messages to recipients in the United States over 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers.
If you only send messages to Canadian recipients, A2P 10DLC does not apply at this time. Canadian carriers have not introduced equivalent requirements for long code A2P messaging.
What Is Required
Section titled “What Is Required”Under A2P 10DLC, businesses must register two things with The Campaign Registry (TCR):
- Brand Registration — Identifies who you are to the carrier networks.

Each type of message your business sends should be covered by a separate campaign. For example, if you send both OTP codes and marketing messages, register two separate campaigns.
