Configure Sidecar Expansion Extensions for Cisco / Linksys SPA
Section titled “Configure Sidecar Expansion Extensions for Cisco / Linksys SPA”When adding a Linksys sidecar expansion module to a Cisco / Linksys SPA phone, configure the unit through the phone’s web interface using the steps below.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Sidecar physically connected to the phone’s Aux port
- Phone accessible via its web interface (see Cisco / Linksys SPA Provisioning Guide)
Configuration Steps
Section titled “Configuration Steps”- Open the phone’s web interface in a browser using its IP address.
- Click Admin in the top-right corner.
- Click Advanced in the top-right corner.
- Select the Att Console tab.
- Set Server Type to Asterisk.
- Set Attendant Pickup Mode to
*8. - Configure each key with the appropriate extension script (see format below).
Key Script Format
Section titled “Key Script Format”Each sidecar key must be configured with a script that defines its function. The format is:
