How to Pair a Bluetooth Headset with a Polycom VVX 600 Series
Section titled “How to Pair a Bluetooth Headset with a Polycom VVX 600 Series”The Polycom VVX 6xx series supports Bluetooth headsets for hands-free calling. Follow these steps to pair a compatible headset.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Polycom VVX 6xx series phone with Bluetooth support
- Compatible Bluetooth headset
- Headset charged and within 10 meters (30 feet) of the phone
Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on the Phone
Section titled “Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on the Phone”- From the Home screen, tap Settings (gear icon).
- Select Basic.
- Select Bluetooth Settings.
- Toggle Bluetooth to On.
Step 2: Put the Headset in Pairing Mode
Section titled “Step 2: Put the Headset in Pairing Mode”- Power on your Bluetooth headset.
- Activate pairing mode — typically by holding the power button or a dedicated pairing button until the LED flashes.
Step 3: Pair the Headset
Section titled “Step 3: Pair the Headset”- In Bluetooth Settings on the phone, select Add Device.
- The phone will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Select your headset from the list when it appears.
- If prompted, enter the pairing PIN (commonly
0000or1234— check your headset manual if unsure).
Step 4: Confirm the Connection
Section titled “Step 4: Confirm the Connection”Once paired, the headset will appear as a connected device in the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Your headset may emit an audible tone to confirm the connection, and the LED indicator will typically show a solid light.
Step 5: Test the Headset
Section titled “Step 5: Test the Headset”Make a test call to verify audio quality. Adjust the volume on both the phone and headset as needed.
Troubleshooting
