Recording Your Voicemail Greeting
Section titled “Recording Your Voicemail Greeting”Nova PBX voicemail supports three greeting types, each played in different situations. You can record or change any greeting by calling into your voicemail from your extension.
Greeting Types
Section titled “Greeting Types”| Greeting | When It Plays |
|---|---|
| Unavailable | When you don’t answer or miss a call |
| Busy | When you’re on a call and can’t answer |
| Temporary | When temporarily activated — ideal for vacation messages |
How to Record Your Unavailable Greeting
Section titled “How to Record Your Unavailable Greeting”- From your extension or desk phone, dial
*98. - Enter your voicemail password.
- Press
0for admin options. - Press
1to record your Unavailable greeting. - Record your message, then follow the prompts to listen, save, or re-record.
How to Record Your Busy or Temporary Greeting
Section titled “How to Record Your Busy or Temporary Greeting”From the admin options menu (0):
- Press
2to record your Busy greeting. - Press
3to record your Temporary greeting. - Press
4to activate or deactivate your Temporary greeting.
Accessing Voicemail Remotely
Section titled “Accessing Voicemail Remotely”To access your voicemail from another phone or externally:
- Call your main business number (or direct extension number from outside).
- When voicemail answers, press
*. - Enter your extension number and password.
Resetting Your Voicemail Password
Section titled “Resetting Your Voicemail Password”If you’ve forgotten your voicemail password, contact your system administrator to reset it from the Nova PBX portal.
